- Red onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Tomato sauce - 100 grams
- Oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh basil leaves - a handful, for garnish
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness, then transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the sliced sausage. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the sliced red bell pepper, red onion, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for another 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender.
- Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the rolled-out pizza dough.
- Sprinkle the cooked sausage and vegetable mixture over the tomato sauce.
- Season with oregano and black pepper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and crispy.
