- Dried herbs (thyme, oregano) - 1 teaspoon each
- Red bell pepper - 1, diced
- Zucchini - 1, sliced
- Red onion - 1/2, sliced
- Mushrooms - 100g, sliced
- Cherry tomatoes - 100g, halved
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Balsamic vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh basil - a handful, for garnish
Steps
- In a small bowl, dissolve the active dry yeast in warm water and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, and dried herbs. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
- Mix until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth, then cover with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 20 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
- While the dough is rising, prepare the toppings. In a skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add the diced red bell pepper, sliced zucchini, red onion, and mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until softened. Add the cherry tomatoes and balsamic vinegar, cooking for an additional 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape. Transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread the sautéed vegetable mixture evenly over the pizza base.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crispy.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil, slice, and serve warm.
