Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 250 grams
  • Warm water - 150 ml
  • Dry yeast - 7 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Zucchini - 100 grams, thinly sliced
  • Mushrooms - 100 grams, sliced
  • Red onion - 50 grams, thinly sliced
  • Bell pepper - 50 grams, thinly sliced
  • Nutritional yeast - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh thyme - 1 teaspoon, chopped
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Basil leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water and dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix the all-purpose flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Cover it with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  5. Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface into a round shape, about 25 cm in diameter.
  6. Transfer the rolled dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the base, leaving a small border around the edges.
  8. Arrange the sliced zucchini, mushrooms, red onion, and bell pepper on top of the sauce.
  9. Sprinkle nutritional yeast, chopped thyme, and black pepper over the vegetables.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the vegetables are tender.
  11. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing and serving.
