Ingredients

  • Pizza dough - 200 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Halal chicken breast - 150 grams, cooked and sliced
  • Fresh mushrooms - 100 grams, sliced
  • Red bell pepper - 1, sliced
  • Onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated
  • Mixed herbs (thyme, oregano) - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Fresh basil - a handful, for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface until it's about 0.5 cm thick. Transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Brush the rolled-out dough with olive oil and sprinkle a pinch of salt and black pepper over it.
  4. In a skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, sliced onions, and cook until soft.
  5. Add the sliced mushrooms and bell pepper to the skillet and sauté for about 5 minutes until they are tender. Season with mixed herbs, salt, and pepper.
  6. Spread the sautéed vegetables evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  7. Layer the cooked and sliced halal chicken breast over the vegetables, then sprinkle with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
  9. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil before slicing and serving.
