- Almond flour - 120 grams
- Mozzarella cheese (shredded) - 150 grams
- Cream cheese - 60 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Ricotta cheese - 80 grams
- Fresh basil leaves - a handful (for garnish)
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the mozzarella cheese and cream cheese. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir, and repeat until fully melted and combined.
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, egg, olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add the melted cheese mixture and stir until a dough forms.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the dough into a circular shape, about 0.5 cm thick.
- Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove the crust from the oven and spread the ricotta cheese evenly on top.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until warmed through.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil leaves, and let cool slightly before slicing.
