Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 120 grams
  • Mozzarella cheese (shredded) - 150 grams
  • Cream cheese - 60 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ricotta cheese - 80 grams
  • Fresh basil leaves - a handful (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the mozzarella cheese and cream cheese. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir, and repeat until fully melted and combined.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, egg, olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add the melted cheese mixture and stir until a dough forms.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the dough into a circular shape, about 0.5 cm thick.
  5. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Remove the crust from the oven and spread the ricotta cheese evenly on top.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until warmed through.
  8. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil leaves, and let cool slightly before slicing.
