Ingredients

  • Cauliflower - 300 grams
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded - 150 grams
  • Parmesan cheese, grated - 30 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cooked ham, diced - 100 grams
  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Fresh basil leaves - a handful

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wash and chop the cauliflower into florets, then steam until tender (about 10 minutes).
  3. In a food processor, pulse the steamed cauliflower until it reaches a rice-like texture. Allow it to cool slightly.
  4. Combine the cauliflower, 100 grams of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a mixing bowl. Mix until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and shape it into a round pizza crust, about 1 cm thick.
  6. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until it is golden and firm.
  7. Remove the crust from the oven and spread the tomato sauce evenly on top.
  8. Sprinkle the diced ham and remaining mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing and serving.
