- Cauliflower - 300 grams
- Shredded mozzarella cheese - 150 grams
- Grated Parmesan cheese - 50 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Tomato sauce - 100 grams
- Fresh basil leaves - for garnish
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Remove the leaves and stem from the cauliflower and cut it into florets.
- In a food processor, pulse the cauliflower until it resembles rice or fine crumbs.
- Transfer the processed cauliflower to a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much moisture as possible.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the drained cauliflower, 100 grams of shredded mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until a dough forms.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the cauliflower mixture into a round pizza shape, about 1 cm thick.
- Brush the crust with olive oil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove the crust from the oven and spread the tomato sauce evenly on top.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the sauce and return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
