Ingredients

  • Cauliflower - 300 grams
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese - 150 grams
  • Grated Parmesan cheese - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Fresh basil leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Remove the leaves and stem from the cauliflower and cut it into florets.
  3. In a food processor, pulse the cauliflower until it resembles rice or fine crumbs.
  4. Transfer the processed cauliflower to a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much moisture as possible.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained cauliflower, 100 grams of shredded mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until a dough forms.
  6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the cauliflower mixture into a round pizza shape, about 1 cm thick.
  7. Brush the crust with olive oil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove the crust from the oven and spread the tomato sauce evenly on top.
  9. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the sauce and return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
