Ingredients

  • Ground beef (85% lean) - 400 grams
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Brioche burger buns - 2
  • Brie cheese - 100 grams, sliced
  • Dijon mustard - 2 tablespoons
  • Arugula - 50 grams
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Pickles - 50 grams, sliced

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined, then form into 2 equal patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
  3. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of brie on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the brioche buns in a separate pan or under the broiler until golden.
  5. Assemble the burgers by spreading Dijon mustard on the bottom half of the toasted bun. Add arugula, the cooked patty with melted brie, sliced tomato, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
  6. Serve immediately with your choice of side.
