- Ground halal beef - 300 grams
- Ground halal lamb - 200 grams
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley - 30 grams, chopped
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
- Egg - 1 large
- Breadcrumbs - 50 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground halal beef and lamb.
- Add the finely chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and chili flakes to the meat mixture.
- Crack the egg into the bowl and add the breadcrumbs. Mix everything together thoroughly until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into oval or rectangular patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Preheat your grill or barbecue to medium-high heat and brush the grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through.
- Once cooked, remove the patties from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
