Ingredients

  • Ground halal beef - 300 grams
  • Ground halal lamb - 200 grams
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh parsley - 30 grams, chopped
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Breadcrumbs - 50 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground halal beef and lamb.
  2. Add the finely chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and chili flakes to the meat mixture.
  3. Crack the egg into the bowl and add the breadcrumbs. Mix everything together thoroughly until well combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into oval or rectangular patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  5. Preheat your grill or barbecue to medium-high heat and brush the grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  6. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through.
  7. Once cooked, remove the patties from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
