  • almond milk - 200 ml

  • cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • nutmeg - 1/4 teaspoon
  • maple syrup - 2 tablespoons
  • coconut oil - 1 tablespoon
  • fresh berries (mixed) - 100 grams
  • powdered sugar (for garnish) - optional

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix the almond milk, flaxseed meal, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and maple syrup until well combined.
  3. Cut the stale bread into thick slices and place them in a baking dish.
  4. Pour the almond milk mixture over the bread, ensuring each slice is well soaked. Allow it to sit for about 10 minutes.
  5. Melt the coconut oil and drizzle it over the soaked bread.
  6. Top the bread with fresh mixed berries evenly distributed.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden and slightly crispy on top.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.
