  • stale bread - 4 slices
  • almond milk - 200 ml
  • ground flaxseed - 2 tablespoons

  • nutmeg - 1/4 teaspoon
  • maple syrup - 2 tablespoons
  • coconut oil - 1 tablespoon
  • fresh berries - 100 grams
  • powdered sugar - for dusting (optional)

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, mix ground flaxseed with 5 tablespoons of water and let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together almond milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and maple syrup.
  3. Add the thickened flaxseed mixture to the bowl and whisk until well combined.
  4. Heat coconut oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  5. Dip each slice of stale bread into the almond milk mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated but not soaked.
