Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, and baking powder.
  3. Cut in the margarine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add cold water gradually, mixing until a dough forms. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. In another bowl, mix almond flour, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and egg substitute until smooth to create the almond cream filling.
  6. Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to about 0.5 cm thickness.
  7. Cut into circles or squares and place half on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Spoon a small amount of almond cream filling onto each pastry piece, then cover with the remaining pastry pieces.
  9. Seal the edges with a fork and make a few slits on top for steam to escape.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Let cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and serve with fresh berries on top.
