Ingredients

  • Puff pastry - 250 grams
  • Cooked shrimp - 100 grams, chopped
  • Cooked crab meat - 100 grams
  • Cream cheese - 100 grams
  • Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Egg - 1, for egg wash

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, crab meat, cream cheese, lemon zest, dill, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 3mm thickness.
  4. Cut the pastry into squares of approximately 10cm x 10cm.
  5. Place a tablespoon of the seafood mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  6. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to form a triangle or pocket, and press the edges to seal.
  7. Beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the pastry puffs for a golden finish.
  8. Place the filled pastry puffs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
