Ingredients
- Puff pastry - 200 grams
- Mixed seasonal fruits (e.g., berries, apple, pear) - 250 grams
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Ground cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Egg (for egg wash) - 1
- Powdered sugar (for dusting) - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 3mm thickness.
- Cut the pastry into two equal squares (approximately 15cm x 15cm).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mixed seasonal fruits, honey, lemon juice, and ground cinnamon. Toss gently to coat the fruits evenly.
- Place half of the fruit mixture in the center of each pastry square, leaving a border of about 2cm around the edges.
- Fold the edges of the pastry over the fruit to create a parcel, pinching the seams to seal them well.
- Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush the egg wash over the top of each pastry parcel.
- Place the parcels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.
