Ingredients

  • Puff pastry - 200 grams
  • Mixed seasonal fruits (e.g., berries, apple, pear) - 250 grams
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Ground cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Egg (for egg wash) - 1
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting) - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 3mm thickness.
  3. Cut the pastry into two equal squares (approximately 15cm x 15cm).
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the mixed seasonal fruits, honey, lemon juice, and ground cinnamon. Toss gently to coat the fruits evenly.
  5. Place half of the fruit mixture in the center of each pastry square, leaving a border of about 2cm around the edges.
  6. Fold the edges of the pastry over the fruit to create a parcel, pinching the seams to seal them well.
  7. Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush the egg wash over the top of each pastry parcel.
  8. Place the parcels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy your delightful Pâtisserie de Fruits.
