- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Heavy cream - 150 ml
- Parmesan cheese - 50 grams, grated
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Nutmeg - a pinch
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir to combine and allow it to warm up without boiling.
- Add the grated Parmesan cheese to the cream sauce and stir until melted and smooth. Season with salt, black pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg.
- Once the pasta is cooked, reserve a cup of pasta water and drain the rest. Add the drained pasta to the cream sauce, tossing to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to reach the desired consistency.
- Finally, stir in the chopped parsley and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan and parsley if desired.
