  • Fresh basil leaves - 10 grams, chopped
  • Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they soften and release their juices.
  4. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
  5. Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the cherry tomatoes. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce.
  6. Stir in chopped basil, season with salt and black pepper to taste, and mix well.
  7. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and additional basil if desired.
