- Whole wheat pasta - 200 grams
- Boneless chicken breast - 200 grams
- Fresh basil - 30 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Cherry tomatoes - 150 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Parmesan cheese - 30 grams (optional)
Steps
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the whole wheat pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season the boneless chicken breast with salt and black pepper, then add it to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and halved cherry tomatoes. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the tomatoes soften.
- Slice the cooked chicken into strips and add it back to the skillet along with the cooked pasta.
