Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 150 grams
  • Tapioca flour - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Water - 60 milliliters
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Dried oregano - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Fresh mozzarella cheese - 100 grams
  • Fresh basil leaves - a handful
  • Sliced bell peppers - 50 grams
  • Sliced mushrooms - 50 grams

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, tapioca flour, salt, and dried oregano.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the egg, olive oil, and water until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  5. Place the dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet and use your hands to shape it into a pizza crust, about 1/2 cm thick.
  6. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes until it starts to set and lightly golden.
  7. Remove the crust from the oven and spread the tomato sauce evenly over the top.
  8. Add the fresh mozzarella cheese, bell peppers, and mushrooms on top of the sauce.
  9. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil leaves, slice, and serve warm.
