Ingredients
- Gluten-free puff pastry - 250 grams
- Ground pork - 150 grams
- Ground chicken - 100 grams
- Hard-boiled eggs - 2
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Thyme - 1 teaspoon, dried
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Nutmeg - 1/4 teaspoon
- Egg wash (beaten egg) - 1
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a skillet, sauté the finely chopped onion and minced garlic over medium heat until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, ground chicken, sautéed onion and garlic, fresh parsley, thyme, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Roll out the gluten-free puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 3mm thick.
- Cut the pastry into two rectangles, approximately 20cm x 15cm each.
- Place half of the meat mixture in the center of each rectangle, and make a small indentation in the center of the filling.
- Peel and cut the hard-boiled eggs in half, placing one half in the indentation of each portion of meat.
- Fold the pastry over the filling to create a pocket, sealing the edges by pressing them together with your fingers or a fork.
- Brush the tops of the pastry with the beaten egg to give it a golden color when baked.
- Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm.
