- Puff pastry - 250 grams
- Ground turkey - 200 grams
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Carrot - 1 small, grated
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Egg - 1, beaten (for egg wash)
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat, add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until translucent.
- Add the ground turkey to the skillet, cooking until browned. Stir in the grated carrot, soy sauce, paprika, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, then remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 3mm thick and cut into 4 rectangles, approximately 10x15 cm each.
- Place a generous spoonful of the meat mixture in the center of each rectangle, leaving a border around the edges.
- Fold the pastry over to form a pocket and seal the edges by crimping with a fork.
- Brush each pastry with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
