Ingredients
- Ground beef (80% lean) - 250 grams
- Chicken liver pâté - 50 grams
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Burger buns - 2
- Caramelized onions - 100 grams
- Dijon mustard - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh parsley - for garnish
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into two equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing while cooking.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the caramelized onions by cooking sliced onions in a separate pan over low heat until they are golden brown and soft, about 10-15 minutes.
- Toast the burger buns in the same skillet or in a toaster until lightly golden.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading a layer of chicken liver pâté on the bottom bun, placing the cooked patty on top, followed by a generous spoonful of caramelized onions and a drizzle of Dijon mustard. Add fresh parsley for garnish.
- Serve immediately with your favorite side.
