  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Butter - 30 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Lemon wedges - for serving

Steps

  1. Thoroughly clean the mussels under cold water, scrubbing the shells and removing any beards.
  2. In a large pot, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat until melted.
  3. Add the chopped shallots and minced garlic to the pot, sautéing until softened and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer.
  5. Add the cleaned mussels to the pot, cover, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until the mussels open up.
  6. Once cooked, discard any mussels that remain closed.
  7. Stir in the chopped parsley and season with black pepper to taste.
  8. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
