- Grated mozzarella cheese - 100 grams
- Cream cheese - 50 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Bacon - 100 grams, chopped
- Onion - 1 medium, thinly sliced
- Heavy cream - 50 ml
- Black pepper - to taste
- Chives - for garnish
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, grated mozzarella, cream cheese, egg, salt, and baking powder. Mix until a dough forms.
- Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll it out into a thin rectangle, approximately 0.5 cm thick.
- Transfer the rolled dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped bacon and cook until crispy. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sliced onions and sauté until they are caramelized and translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
- Spread the heavy cream over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Evenly distribute the caramelized onions and crispy bacon over the cream layer. Season with black pepper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with chopped chives before slicing and serving.
