- Dried thyme - 1 teaspoon

- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Heavy cream - 100ml
- Gruyère cheese, shredded - 100g
- Fresh parsley, chopped - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)
Steps
- Slice the onions thinly and set aside.
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they become soft and caramelized, about 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add minced garlic to the pot and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the beef broth and add thyme, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and simmer for another 5 minutes to combine flavors.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

- Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
