Ingredients
- Lobster tails - 2 (approximately 300g each)
- Butter - 50g
- Shallots - 2, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Heavy cream - 100ml
- Dijon mustard - 1 tablespoon
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 teaspoon
- Cayenne pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Parmesan cheese - 50g, grated
- Gruyère cheese - 50g, grated
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F).
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the lobster tails. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until they turn bright red. Remove from water and let cool.
- Once cool, carefully split the lobster tails in half lengthwise and remove the meat, chopping it into bite-sized pieces. Reserve the shells for later.
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat, then add the shallots and garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
- Add the chopped lobster meat to the skillet and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring gently.
- Pour in the heavy cream, then stir in the Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat and mix in half of the Parmesan and Gruyère cheeses, along with the chopped parsley.
- Spoon the lobster mixture back into the reserved lobster shells, then top with the remaining cheeses.
- Place the stuffed lobster shells on a baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
