Ingredients

  • Lobster tails - 2 (approximately 300g each)
  • Butter - 50g
  • Shallots - 2, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Heavy cream - 100ml
  • Dijon mustard - 1 tablespoon
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Parmesan cheese - 50g, grated
  • Gruyère cheese - 50g, grated
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F).
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the lobster tails. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until they turn bright red. Remove from water and let cool.
  3. Once cool, carefully split the lobster tails in half lengthwise and remove the meat, chopping it into bite-sized pieces. Reserve the shells for later.
  4. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat, then add the shallots and garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
  5. Add the chopped lobster meat to the skillet and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring gently.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream, then stir in the Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Remove from heat and mix in half of the Parmesan and Gruyère cheeses, along with the chopped parsley.
  8. Spoon the lobster mixture back into the reserved lobster shells, then top with the remaining cheeses.
  9. Place the stuffed lobster shells on a baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
