- Octopus - 500 grams
- Olive oil - 60 ml
- Lemon juice - 30 ml
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley - 15 grams, chopped
- Fresh thyme - 5 grams, chopped
- Salt - 5 grams
- Black pepper - 2 grams
- Smoked paprika - 2 grams
- Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
- Capers - 15 grams, rinsed
- Olives - 30 grams, pitted and sliced
Steps
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the octopus and cook for about 45 minutes until tender. Drain and let cool.
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped thyme, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika to create a marinade.
- Once the octopus is cool, cut it into tentacles and add it to the marinade. Toss well to coat and let marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated octopus for about 3-4 minutes on each side until charred and slightly crispy.
- While the octopus is grilling, toss the cherry tomatoes, capers, and sliced olives in a bowl with a drizzle of olive oil and a pinch of salt.
- Serve the grilled octopus on a plate with the tomato mixture on the side, garnished with extra parsley.
