Ingredients
- Duck breast - 2 pieces (about 200g each)
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh thyme - 2 teaspoons, chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Balsamic vinegar - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Score the skin of the duck breasts in a crisscross pattern, being careful not to cut into the meat.
- In a bowl, mix the olive oil, thyme, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, honey, and balsamic vinegar to create a marinade.
- Rub the marinade all over the duck breasts, ensuring it gets into the scored skin. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Place the duck breasts skin-side down on the grill and cook for about 6-8 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and golden brown.
- Flip the duck breasts and grill for another 5-7 minutes for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer them more well done.
- Remove the duck breasts from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Serve the sliced duck breast with your favorite sides, drizzling any leftover juices over the top.
