- Cauliflower - 1 medium head
- Olive oil - 4 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Dijon mustard - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh thyme - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated (optional)
- Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped (for garnish)
Steps
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the leaves and stem from the cauliflower head, then slice it into 1.5 cm thick steaks.
- In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, chopped thyme, salt, and black pepper.
- Brush both sides of each cauliflower steak with the marinade, ensuring they are well coated.
- Place the cauliflower steaks on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are nicely charred and tender.
- If using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle it over the steaks during the last minute of grilling to allow it to melt.
- Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
