Ingredients

  • Cauliflower - 1 medium head
  • Olive oil - 4 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Dijon mustard - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh thyme - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated (optional)
  • Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Remove the leaves and stem from the cauliflower head, then slice it into 1.5 cm thick steaks.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, chopped thyme, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Brush both sides of each cauliflower steak with the marinade, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. Place the cauliflower steaks on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are nicely charred and tender.
  6. If using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle it over the steaks during the last minute of grilling to allow it to melt.
  7. Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
