- Breadcrumbs - 30 grams
- Cooked shrimp - 100 grams
- Cooked scallops - 100 grams
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Clean the leeks thoroughly, removing any dirt, and slice them into thin rings.
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the leeks and sauté for about 10 minutes until they are soft and translucent.
- Sprinkle the flour over the leeks, stir well, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Gradually add the milk and cream, whisking continuously until the mixture thickens and is smooth.
- Season with nutmeg, salt, and black pepper to taste.
- Fold in the cooked shrimp and scallops gently into the leek mixture.
- Transfer the mixture into a baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- In a bowl, combine the grated Gruyère cheese and breadcrumbs. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top of the gratin.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
