  • All-purpose flour - 100 grams
  • Water - 120 milliliters
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Nutritional yeast - 2 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Dried thyme - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Aquafaba (chickpea brine) - 60 milliliters

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the water and olive oil, bringing it to a boil over medium heat.
  3. Once boiling, remove from heat and quickly stir in the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper until a dough forms.
  4. Let the dough cool for a few minutes, then add the aquafaba and nutritional yeast, mixing until smooth and well combined.
  5. Spoon or pipe small mounds of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until they are puffed and golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
