Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 100 grams
  • Water - 120 milliliters
  • Olive oil - 30 milliliters
  • Ground flaxseed - 1 tablespoon
  • Nutritional yeast - 2 tablespoons
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chopped fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons
  • Chopped fresh chives - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the ground flaxseed with 3 tablespoons of water and let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
  3. In a saucepan, combine the water and olive oil and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  4. Once boiling, remove from heat and quickly stir in the flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until a smooth dough forms.
  5. Allow the dough to cool for about 5 minutes, then stir in the flaxseed mixture, nutritional yeast, parsley, and chives until well combined.
  6. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a round tip or use a spoon to drop small mounds onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
  8. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
