  • Nutritional yeast - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chopped fresh herbs (like chives or parsley) - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the flaxseed meal with 3 tablespoons of water and let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
  3. In a saucepan, combine the water, olive oil, salt, and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  4. Once boiling, remove from heat and quickly stir in the buckwheat flour, cornstarch, baking powder, nutritional yeast, and black pepper until the mixture forms a smooth dough.
  5. Add the flaxseed mixture and fresh herbs to the dough, mixing until well incorporated.
  6. Using a spoon or a piping bag, drop tablespoon-sized mounds of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
