Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (such as cod or haddock) - 200 grams
  • Almond flour - 50 grams
  • Parmesan cheese, grated - 30 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Dried herbs (thyme, oregano) - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 100 ml (for frying)
  • Lemon wedges - 2 (for serving)

Steps

  1. Cut the white fish fillets into bite-sized pieces and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a shallow bowl, whisk the egg until well beaten.
  3. In another bowl, combine the almond flour, grated Parmesan cheese, dried herbs, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Dip each piece of fish into the beaten egg, allowing any excess to drip off, then coat it thoroughly with the almond flour mixture.
  5. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat until hot.
  6. Carefully add the coated fish pieces to the hot oil, cooking in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
  7. Fry the fish for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Remove the fried fish from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  9. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
