Ingredients
- White fish fillets (such as cod or haddock) - 200 grams
- Almond flour - 50 grams
- Parmesan cheese, grated - 30 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Dried herbs (thyme, oregano) - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 100 ml (for frying)
- Lemon wedges - 2 (for serving)
Steps
- Cut the white fish fillets into bite-sized pieces and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk the egg until well beaten.
- In another bowl, combine the almond flour, grated Parmesan cheese, dried herbs, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Dip each piece of fish into the beaten egg, allowing any excess to drip off, then coat it thoroughly with the almond flour mixture.
- Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat until hot.
- Carefully add the coated fish pieces to the hot oil, cooking in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
- Fry the fish for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the fried fish from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
