Ingredients
- Almond flour - 100 grams
- Powdered sugar - 50 grams
- Egg whites - 3 large
- Unsalted butter - 50 grams
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - a pinch
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F) and grease a small financier mold or line it with parchment paper.
- In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat until it turns a light golden brown, then remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the almond flour, powdered sugar, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- Add the egg whites and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Gradually pour in the browned butter while mixing until fully incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the prepared mold, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let the financiers cool in the mold for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
