Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 100 grams
  • Powdered sugar - 50 grams
  • Egg whites - 3 large
  • Unsalted butter - 50 grams
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - a pinch

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F) and grease a small financier mold or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat until it turns a light golden brown, then remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the almond flour, powdered sugar, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  4. Add the egg whites and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  5. Gradually pour in the browned butter while mixing until fully incorporated.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared mold, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the financiers cool in the mold for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
