  • Fresh crab meat - 200 grams
  • Almond flour - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Fresh chives - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Sea salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Coconut oil - 2 tablespoons (for frying)
  • Avocado - 1 medium, mashed
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the fresh crab meat, almond flour, egg, parsley, chives, minced garlic, lemon juice, sea salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small patties, about 5 cm in diameter, and place them on a plate.
  3. Heat coconut oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the crab patties in the skillet, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the avocado dip by mixing the mashed avocado, olive oil, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl until smooth.
  5. Once the crab cakes are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them drain on a paper towel for a minute.
  6. Serve the Croustillant de Crabe warm with a generous dollop of the avocado dip on the side.
