- polenta - 200 grams
- vegetable broth - 500 ml
- smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
- garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- salt - 1 teaspoon
- black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- BBQ sauce - for serving
Steps
- In a saucepan, bring the vegetable broth to a boil over medium heat.
- Gradually whisk in the polenta, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring frequently, for about 15 minutes until the polenta thickens.
- Remove from heat and spread the polenta evenly into a greased baking dish, about 1 cm thick. Let it cool at room temperature for at least 30 minutes, or until set.
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (430°F).
- Once set, cut the polenta into fries or sticks.
- Toss the polenta fries in olive oil and arrange them in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Serve hot with BBQ sauce for dipping.
