  • Onion powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Burger buns (kosher) - 2 pieces
  • Lettuce leaves - 2 pieces
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Pickles - 4 slices
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Dijon mustard - 1 tablespoon
  • Capers - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined.
  2. Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the remoulade by mixing the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, capers, chopped parsley, and lemon juice in a small bowl. Set aside.
  5. Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
