Steps
- Trim the Brussels sprouts by cutting off the stem ends and removing any yellow leaves. Halve them lengthwise.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the skillet, cut side down. Cook for about 5-7 minutes without stirring, until they begin to brown.
- Stir the Brussels sprouts, then season with salt and black pepper. Continue to sauté for another 5-7 minutes until tender and caramelized.
- Remove from heat and drizzle with lemon juice. Toss gently to combine.
- If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top for extra flavor.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
