  • Salt - a pinch

Steps

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the almond milk over medium heat until it begins to steam, but do not let it boil.
  2. Whisk in the cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until fully combined.
  3. Add the chopped dark vegan chocolate and stir continuously until the chocolate melts and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. Remove from heat and let the hot chocolate sit for a minute to thicken slightly.
