- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chickpea flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Gradually add the water while whisking until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
- Stir in the chopped parsley and lemon juice, mixing well to combine.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.
- Once the oil is hot, pour a ladleful of the batter into the skillet, spreading it into a thin layer.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the edges start to crisp and the bottom is golden brown.
- Flip the chardon and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes on the other side until golden.
- Repeat with the remaining batter, adding more oil to the skillet as needed.
