  • Swiss chard - 150 grams, chopped
  • Goat cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Heavy cream - 100 ml
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Nutmeg - a pinch

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Roll out the shortcrust pastry and line a 20cm tart tin. Trim the edges and prick the base with a fork. Chill in the fridge for 15 minutes.

  4. Add minced garlic and chopped Swiss chard to the skillet. Cook until the chard is wilted, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together the egg and heavy cream. Stir in the sautéed chard mixture and crumbled goat cheese.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared pastry shell, spreading it evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is lightly golden.
  8. Allow the tart to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
