- Shortcrust pastry - 200 grams
- Swiss chard - 150 grams, chopped
- Goat cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Egg - 1 large
- Heavy cream - 100 ml
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Nutmeg - a pinch
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Roll out the shortcrust pastry and line a 20cm tart tin. Trim the edges and prick the base with a fork. Chill in the fridge for 15 minutes.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft, about 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and chopped Swiss chard to the skillet. Cook until the chard is wilted, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg.
- In a bowl, whisk together the egg and heavy cream. Stir in the sautéed chard mixture and crumbled goat cheese.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pastry shell, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is lightly golden.
- Allow the tart to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
