  • Swiss chard - 150 grams, chopped
  • Goat cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
  • Eggs - 3 large
  • Heavy cream - 150 ml
  • Milk - 50 ml
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Nutmeg - a pinch

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the chopped Swiss chard to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg until well combined.
  5. Roll out the shortcrust pastry and fit it into a 20 cm (8-inch) tart pan, trimming the edges as necessary.
  6. Spread the sautéed chard evenly over the pastry, then sprinkle the crumbled goat cheese on top.
  7. Pour the egg and cream mixture over the chard and cheese, ensuring an even distribution.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the quiche is set and lightly golden on top.
  9. Allow the quiche to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
