Ingredients

  • Goat cheese (chèvre) - 150 grams
  • Baguette or crusty bread - 2 slices
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh thyme leaves - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Slice the baguette or crusty bread into 2 equal pieces, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over both sides of the bread slices, ensuring they are well coated.
  4. Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for about 5 minutes, until golden brown.
  5. Meanwhile, slice the goat cheese into rounds, about 1 cm thick.
  6. Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven and place a slice of goat cheese on each piece.
  7. Sprinkle fresh thyme leaves over the goat cheese and season with salt and black pepper.
  8. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the cheese is warm and slightly melted.
