- Ground beef (lean) - 300 grams
- Goat cheese (chèvre) - 100 grams
- Fresh thyme - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Burger buns - 2 pieces
- Arugula - 50 grams
- Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
- Balsamic vinegar - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, minced garlic, chopped thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into two equal patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, place the goat cheese on top of each patty to melt slightly.
- While the burgers are cooking, toss the arugula and cherry tomatoes in a bowl with balsamic vinegar and a pinch of salt.
- To assemble, place each burger patty on a bun and top with the arugula salad. Serve immediately.
