Ingredients

  • 250g ground beef (lean)
  • 50g Camembert cheese, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 whole wheat burger buns
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 100g mixed salad greens
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat a grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form into 2 equal patties.
  3. Brush each patty with olive oil and grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, place slices of Camembert cheese on top of each patty to melt.
  5. While the burgers are cooking, toast the whole wheat buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Spread Dijon mustard on the bottom half of each bun.
  7. Layer the mixed salad greens and red onion slices on the bun, followed by the cooked beef patties with melted Camembert.
  8. Top with the other half of the bun, serve, and enjoy your gourmet Camembert burger.
