- 250g ground beef (lean)
- 50g Camembert cheese, sliced
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 whole wheat burger buns
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 100g mixed salad greens
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Preheat a grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form into 2 equal patties.
- Brush each patty with olive oil and grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, place slices of Camembert cheese on top of each patty to melt.
- While the burgers are cooking, toast the whole wheat buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
- Spread Dijon mustard on the bottom half of each bun.
- Layer the mixed salad greens and red onion slices on the bun, followed by the cooked beef patties with melted Camembert.
- Top with the other half of the bun, serve, and enjoy your gourmet Camembert burger.
