- Espresso - 120 ml
- Whole milk - 120 ml
- Heavy cream - 30 ml
- Cocoa powder - 1 tsp
- Sugar - 1 tsp
- Vanilla extract - 1/4 tsp
- Dark chocolate shavings (optional) - 1 tbsp
Steps
- Brew 120 ml of strong espresso using your preferred method, such as a stovetop espresso maker or an espresso machine.
- In a small saucepan, heat 120 ml of whole milk and 30 ml of heavy cream over low heat. Stir gently until steaming but not boiling.
- Remove the milk mixture from heat and whisk it vigorously or use a milk frother until it becomes frothy and doubled in volume.
- In a small cup, mix the brewed espresso with 1 tsp of sugar and 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract until dissolved.
- Pour the frothed milk mixture over the espresso, allowing the foam to sit on top.
- Sprinkle 1 tsp of cocoa powder over the top for garnish.
- If desired, add dark chocolate shavings on top for an extra touch of indulgence.
