  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Burger buns - 2 pieces
  • Romaine lettuce - 2 leaves
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/4, thinly sliced
  • Harissa sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Remove the casing from the Merguez sausages and place the meat in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add chopped parsley, minced garlic, cumin powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the sausage meat. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and browned.
  5. While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns by toasting them lightly in a separate pan or toaster.
