- Merguez sausage - 250 grams

- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Burger buns - 2 pieces
- Romaine lettuce - 2 leaves
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Red onion - 1/4, thinly sliced
- Harissa sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Remove the casing from the Merguez sausages and place the meat in a mixing bowl.
- Add chopped parsley, minced garlic, cumin powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the sausage meat. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and browned.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns by toasting them lightly in a separate pan or toaster.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on each bun, followed by the cooked patty, sliced tomato, and red onion.
- Drizzle harissa sauce on top, then cover with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
