Ingredients
- Ground beef - 300 grams
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Butter - 1 tablespoon
- Mushrooms - 150 grams, sliced
- Gluten-free burger buns - 2
- Emmental cheese - 100 grams, sliced
- Fresh arugula - 30 grams
- Dijon mustard - 2 teaspoons
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, melt butter in another pan and sauté the sliced mushrooms until they are golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Season with a pinch of salt and set aside.
- In the last minute of cooking the burgers, place a slice of Emmental cheese on each patty and cover the pan to help the cheese melt.
- Toast the gluten-free burger buns in the pan for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading Dijon mustard on the bottom half of each bun, adding the cooked beef patties with melted cheese, followed by the sautéed mushrooms and fresh arugula. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately with your favorite side.
