- Sun-dried tomatoes (chopped) - 30 grams
- Whole-grain burger buns - 2
- Fresh arugula - 50 grams
- Sliced cucumber - 50 grams
- Hummus - 2 tablespoons
- Balsamic vinegar - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Press the firm tofu to remove excess water for about 15 minutes, then cut it into 1 cm thick slices.
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, herbes de Provence, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Add the tofu slices to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- While the tofu is marinating, preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the marinated tofu slices in the skillet for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and slightly crispy.
- Toast the whole-grain burger buns in the skillet for 1-2 minutes until warm and crisp.
- Spread hummus generously on the bottom half of each bun.
- Place the cooked tofu slices on top of the hummus, then add chopped sun-dried tomatoes, sliced cucumber, and fresh arugula.
- Drizzle balsamic vinegar over the toppings, then place the top half of the bun over the burger.
