  • Fresh basil - 30 grams, chopped
  • Fresh parsley - 30 grams, chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Breadcrumbs - 100 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Avocado - 1/2, sliced
  • Balsamic glaze - for drizzling

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, chopped basil, chopped parsley, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two patties of equal size and thickness.
  3. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and heated through.
  4. While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns in a separate skillet or toaster until golden.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a ricotta patty, sliced tomato, and avocado. Drizzle with balsamic glaze before placing the top half of the bun.
